Long time no see, blog! I've been super extra busy with work and handing out my job applications that time just flew by, but do not worry, that only means I have more exciting stuff to share, as my makeup buying habits have remained the same.. so without further ado, I present to you my mini Nordstrom Rack haul!

Nars Eye & Cheek Palette and Lorac The Stylist! Click for larger image. |
I wanted to pick up the Stila Countless Color Pigments in Lyric and Finale at Nordstrom Rack today (missed them at the Stila 80% off sale), but I couldn't find them anywhere, but I did manage to scoop up a Nars Voulez-Vous Coucher Avec Moi, Ce Soir? Eye and Cheek Palette and the Lorac The Stylist Palette that I was lusting over on Hautelook for a bargain price. The Nars palette was marked down from $59 to a managable $39.97, a small price to pay considering that it was a limited edition Nordstrom Exclusive, which contained 4 eyeshadows and 2 beautiful blushes. The Lorac Stylist Palette was only $15, and it's the same one from Hautelook, but without the exorbitant shipping. From what I see, the Nordstrom Rack location near me has also taken to providing testers, and it's definitely made me want to go there to purchase more!

The Nars Voulez-Vous Coucher Avec Moi, Ce Soir? Eye and Cheek Palette consisted of the blushes Deep Throat and Dolce Vita, and the shades Molokai, Antananarivo, Lhasa, and Ragoun. Deep Throat is a slightly darker version of Nars Orgasm, and Dolce Vita is a dustier rose with very slight shimmer, which would probably look really pretty as an autumn blush. Molokai is your standard brow/inner corner kind of more silvery-champagne, Antananarivo is a soft brown, Lhasa is a really pretty cool taupe that's slightly shimmery, and Ragoun is a darker brown. Overall, it's a palette with very usable colors, and blushes that I could contour with, so I'm very, very excited about possibly using it for a FOTD sometime.

The Lorac The Stylist Palette consisted of 10 shadows, 2 of which are larger highlighter shades, one matte and one shimmery. The palette itself has more shimmery shades than matte, which I don't really prefer, since I feel like shimmery shades make my monolids look more pronounced and a teensy bit puffier, but to each their own, as it is a personal preference. The palette is definitely a steal at $15 though, as most full sized Lorac Shadows retail for $19 for .06 oz. This palette has a beautiful darker plummy color that would be perfect for fall, which was really the breaking point for me.
